Recycling, refining, reusing
Used rails that have been professionally reconditioned are eco-friendly, sustainable and, thanks to second configuration use, up to 50% cheaper. Most rails only wear on one edge. Consequently, the non-running edge retains enough material for a new running edge. Reconditioned rails can be used at speeds of up to 160 kph and are manufactured as long rails up to 180 m in length. And we make sure that rails that can no longer be used are recycled at the best possible terms.
Turn the rail around and grind the unused side: This is what we call second configuration use.
