System 336: The versatile solution for urban transportation

A complete and versatile system

The highly elastic System 336 is a reliable and popular fastening system for urban transportation that has been in use for more than 40 years. The ribbed base plate solution for slab track in urban transportation has been constantly refined and now includes a number of totally new versions in addition to the classic one. These include solutions with a symmetrical and asymmetrical versions. The latter, in particular, allow System 336 to be even better adapted to the host structure when space is extremely tight. Our system range also includes solutions especially suitable for turnouts.

Firmly connected
with slab track

To replicate the elasticity of ballasted track on a slab track, the appropriate rail fasteners must be highly elastic. That is the only way the system can perform its most important task, which involves deflecting the forces generated by a metro or tram system into the ground smoothly and with minimum impact on materials. In addition, all the elements must cope with the frequent braking and accelerating that is typical of urban transportation with no problems. That is why all the components of System 336 are rigorously designed to provide maximum elasticity. They thus offer comfortable travel for the passengers, keep the noise level down, and ensure maximum operational safety.
