The term Smart Maintenance ,on the fly’ stands for our comprehensive integrated concept for managing your maintenance – from the initial analysis of the condition of your rails right up to machining work.

With Smart Maintenance ,on the fly’, we concentrate on one essential aspect: the needs-based machining of your rails. Instead of indiscriminately deploying machines over a large area, we calculate in advance the amount of material that needs to be removed from each section of track and use this data to recommend what action you should take – ideally during the same shift.

The use of the HSG-city smart makes it possible for the first time to collect data on the track condition in one and the same shift, to treat the rail accordingly and to complete the task with the re-measurement.

You can then create a customized maintenance plan that is cost-effective, efficient and, above all, simple.

With the mapl-e app you stay in touch with your railway network in the future. Our grinding machine HSG-city smart has been upgraded to diagnostics vehicle. Several offset laser triangulation sensors capture the condition of the rail and check the track set.

The results are presented to you through mapl-e, which displays a diagram of your rail network and uses a traffic light system to evaluate its condition.

You define the evaluation criteria yourself. The software uses this information to calculate potential maintenance scenarios, which include cost calculations and any track possession times that may be required. You then select a scenario and send your feedback directly to our machines via the App.

Clear overview of the current status

With mapl-e, we simplify all planning and control processes for the asset managers. The clear presentation & very easy operation provide quick access to the processed data or an assessment of the track condition with traffic light colours (good/poor/critical). mapl-e subdivides the measured distance into several treatment sections – depending on the type and depth of the defect. Asset managers can quickly and easily change key parameters and/or own threshold values at any time and playfully test the consequences of the change on shift performance and costs.

The latest security technology offers the best possible protection against unauthorized access, and of course we never forward your data in any form to third parties. Every interaction between you and Vossloh via the Smart Maintenance App takes place through an encrypted connection, so communication will not be visible to third parties.
